Scholarship Programs

Welcome to the UNCF Scholarship program, Internships and Fellowships. The UNCF manages a wide range of scholarship programs and each program has its own selection criteria, opening/closing dates and required documentation. To apply for a UNCF scholarship, you must apply through the online application process. Since many UNCF scholarships require you to apply for the Federal Study Grant, it is recommended that you complete the free application form for the Federal Study Grant (FAFSA). Detailed information on federal student grants and how to apply for them can be found at

The UNCF General Application is used to form a group of students potentially eligible for ongoing scholarships that are unpublished and do not require an online application.

Unpublished scholarship opportunities using the UNCF General Application are limited to students enrolled full-time in one of the 37 UNCF member institutions in the academic year 2019-2020.

Completion of the UNCF General Application does not guarantee an applicant will receive
a scholarship award.

Students are encouraged to continue to visit the UNCF scholarship homepage throughout the academic year and to apply for ALL scholarship programs whose criteria match their academic profile. Updating your profile every semester may increase the possibility of a match.

General UNCF enrolment based on the following minimum criteria:

  1. You can enroll full-time at a UNCF member college or university.
  2. Complete the free application form for the Student Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at
  3. Provide evidence of a financial requirement which will be reviewed by the financial assistance authority.
